Reconditioning
Process
Each reconditioned machine we sell goes through the same detailed
process shown in the above photos. We strip the machines down
to
the frame for deep cleaning and inspection. In order to assure the
absolute highest image quality and registration, we start by replacing
a long
list of
mandatory new parts for every machine. Then, according to the condition
of each machine, we also replace additional items on an as-needed
basis. For anyone looking to buy a reconditioned machine, we urge you
to ask for a parts list like ours. Don't be fooled by others who simply
clean-up a machine and call it reconditioned.
Based on our experience, this is the only way to assure the absolute
best performance of a reconditioned machine, and our procedure is
consistent with Xerox guidelines for equipment reconditioning. Do not
underestimate the importance of changing small items such as clutches,
which are vitally important for providing the best registration
accuracy possible. Due to our attention to detail and high-quality
assurance, our machines are especially well suited to demanding
applications such as graphics arts and graphics design.
After completely stripping, cleaning and rebuilding each machine, our
technicians spend, on average, an additional four hours per machine for
final testing and calibrations. We fully test the Fiery, the print
quality, the paper trays and copy functions. We calibrate the
colors, the registration and the fuser unit. The bottom line
is that
our machines are delivered completely customer ready.
